Description: The Lexi bag is one of my favorites! It is 10" wide and 10" high. It has a long shoulder strap, which Kathy can show you how to make adjustable. It has 2 outside pockets, one with a zipper. The inside has several pockets which you can modify to fit your personal items. This bag is very versatile and can be modified with coordinating fabrics. During the class, you will learn how to do an adjustable strap, make different kinds of inside pockets, and easily install a zipper two different ways.
You will need: The Lexi Carryall bag pattern, 1 yard for the main outside fabric, 1/2 yard for the lining fabric, 1/2 yards fusible lightweight fusible interfacing that is 22 wide or 1 3/4 yards if it is 20"wide, 1/2 yard fusible fleece/batting2 coordinating zippers, at least 14" long (they can be longer and we can trim them)Two 1" rectangles or D rings, One 1" adjustable slider, Matching thread and bobbin, Rotary cutter and rotary cutting mat, Fabric scissors, Pins, Sewing machine (with foot pedal and power cord). If you have a zipper foot, bring that along. You may rent a machine from the store for $8 if you want, sign up for this ahead of time. Seam ripper (just in case!)
Preparation ahead of time: Use the attached chart to cut out and prepare your fabric ahead of time. We will work hard to finish the bags in the 4 hour class. If you have not cut and prepared your fabric ahead of time, the bag will likely not be finished during the class.
