Supply List:
One Block Wonder Class Using Panels or Running Yardage

Class: This is a two session class in which you will learn the One Block Wonder technique and be able to design your own quilt. The wonderful thing about making these quilts is that no fabric preparation is required other than pressing by following the Pre-Class Instructions below. DO NOT PREWASH THE FABRIC. Prewashing removes the sizing and can distort the fabric.
CLASS ONE: You will learn how to layer and stack your repeats, cut your strips, cut your equilateral triangles and sew your hexie's. Your homework will be to sew all your hexie's before the next class.
CLASS TWO: Bring all your sewn hexis's to begin the designing process. At this class, you may want to buy a fabric for a border or accent, but that will be determined at that time according to the design that’s being created. No sewing machine needed for this class.
If making the One Block Wonder using panels: you will need 7 panels.
If making the One Block Wonder using running yardage, you will need 4 ½ yards to make a lap, twin or full size. Don’t buy a repeat of anything smaller than 12 inches. 12 - 24” repeat is ideal.
The larger the print, the less the finished blocks will look like the original fabric. This is the result you want! It's fun to have people say, "I can't believe this fabric produced this quilt!"
I guess what I'm saying is: don't choose a tiny print.

Supplies needed:
Book: One Block Wonder Panel Quilts
An 8” 60 degree triangle ruler with the tip - NOT BLUNT TIP.
Flower Head pins-you will use approx. 12 of them
Approximately 60 - 80 any type pins for 2nd class
6 or 6 ½” x 24” ruler
Large cutting mat (at least an 18” x 24”)
Rotary cutter, the 2 above mentioned rulers
Zip lock bags or container to take home the cut triangles
2nd class: flannel sheet, flannel backed tablecloth or piece of batting to use as a design wall.
Pre-class instructions:
Yardage or panels pressed with Best Press. When pressing, PRESS (do not iron) parallel with the selvedge (the same direction) so distortion will not take place. Transport as wrinkle free as possible.
