AHW: Applique and Handwork Workshop - Mar 19, 2025 05:00 pm
Hand Work / Applique Workshop Time Time: 5-8 Hosted by Julie Burger Class Fee: $20 this workshop This is a new workshop style class so you can set aside one time a month to get together with like minded people to relax and work on your handwork and/or applique (machine or hand) project in a well stocked classroom. A Time for Gathering will be used for instruction purposes right from the beginning of sorting, supplies used and demos. We will meet once a month throughout the year to make, cut, stitch and create. Discussions, goals, sharing, will take place. This is uninterrupted dedicated time to give to yourself. Come join the fun and get your project going! Bring your own supplies and ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha project including a light box, fine pencil, nonstick parchment paper, or a silicone mat, tweezers, fusible product and glue if necessary and don’t forget your smile!

Do you want to make a beautiful basket that you can use for Easter or for other purposes? Take this class and you will learn the technique of adding color without fabric or colored thread. You will use mesh (from Dollar Tree), to cover your rope and then you will magically add beautiful color or colors to your bowl. Add a tall handle to make an Easter Basket or add handles in the basket to create a beautiful basket that will make wonderful gifts or just a basket to hold your own treasured items. With this new skill you will be able to make many colorful baskets.
